On October 24-26, join 100 of the world’s top web visionaries, developers, designers, thought leaders, and celebrities for three days of talks at this seminal web event.
Attend from home or from a real-world local conference hub near you. Catch up with old friends (you can find them from your existing social networks) and meet new ones. And you don’t even have to take time off work.
To find out more about the conference, read the About page.
To see how you can help, take a look at the Badges and Sponsors pages.
To get updates, subscribe to the Singularity RSS feed.
Thank god somebody finally is doing something like this. If you think of it, it’s really not far fetched at all isn’t it ?
Can’t wait for it! Thanks to everyone who’s making it possible and see you online soon!
Greetings from icecold Switzerland
Sandro
Great, Aral…again you are pushing the web development/design community to new levels.
Looking forward to the conference…and if I can do something here(Portugal) to help out just say something!
Cheers!

Thanks, Sandro!
Hey Guys,
can´t wait! That will be my first conference I can attempt (no money - no flight :D). I´m sure it will be great!
So .. yeah, let´s do it!
Oh man this rocks!
Really looking forward to see this evolve. Will enjoi to post a teaser tomorrow.
Very cool stuff!
same as paulo: If there is anything I can do (Belgium), just gimme a shout
Good luck all!
Very nice. Can’t wait to see how this all rolls out
Greetings from Singapore! Singularity is great news to developers like me here, since the MAX conference decided to skip Singapore as a venue last year and went to Tokyo.
Can’t wait for it start and see ya soon!
Cheers!

This is such an AWESOME idea! I get married in November and I just hope the conference is before or after our wedding, otherwise my Macbook will be coming with me
On second thoughts….
I am so looking forward to taking part in such an exciting event.
Thanks Aral!
This is fantastic, looks like you’ve got a great crew of speakers already. Once again you’re leading the pack, can’t wait to see how it develops! If there’s anything I can do to help out please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d love to be involved in any way possible.
Cheers! from Orange County CA!

Very cool!
Great for those who can’t afford to travel around the world to visit big conferences.
Genius has a new idea. Great strike, Aral. Guess I can support this on flashforum.de. Let’s talk about this when we meet…
Very very exciting! It is worth the waiting… Greetings from Holland.
Aloha,
Must be a time hard to keep this exciting idea (’)secret(’). Very good job we love it:)
This is awesome. I’m looking forward to it. I’ll miss the late night drinking that goes along with the “traditional” conferences, but being able to attend EVERY session will more than make up for it!
me = stoked
Aral et all… one big THANK YOU! followed by a bunch of small thank you’s. Ever since I’ve had a child, traveling away to a conference has been really tough (so I generally don’t go anymore).
I always thought it would be reasonable to buy a virtual ticket to a conference, since we (in the Flash community) talk about this technology all the time, and yet we never seem to use if for our selves. Although I do love to go and meet up with other people in the community, I’m so excited to be able to “attend” this conference.
Wow, guys, thank-you for the amazing words of encouragement. I’m psyched that you’re as excited about Singularity as I am.
It _is_ going to rock!
And thank-you for the offers of help. As you may have read on the About page, there are going to be local meet-ups for attendees (so, discorax, you may not have to miss out on the late-night drinking after all)
These will be organized in a decentralized manner so I will be looking for volunteers to lead the coordination in geographical areas.
My initial thought for this is that we’ll have a country lead volunteer who will coordinate with city and town volunteers. I hope to bring user groups into this and I am talking with larger corporate entities too (like Yahoo! and the BBC for venue sponsorship.)
If you’re interested in helping out, please email me at aral {at} aralbalkan(.)com.
Now all we need is virtual beer…
Sweet Jesus in a haystack! It’s about time someone figured out a way to do this, now I can (virtually) hang with the big people!
So looking forward to seeing what everyone has to speak about.

Great idea
Looking forward to seeing how this pans out..
The initiative is great, but seeing names from the Flash Platform and web standards speaking on the same conference is something amazing! Singularity will not only define the Web on 2008, but also change it.
Here in Portugal you have the support of the Portuguese Rich Internet Applications Community - http://www.riapt.org. We organize some events from time to time (Portugal Flexcamp is the next one :D) and we will be glad to help you from here.
Now THIS is a cool idea.
Well done mate.
The idea is good - out of question - but what’s even more important is that finally somebody gets it done! Good job, guys!
I don’t know if anyone noticed, but the style tag in the wordpress widget needs to be closed. Right now it’s being displayed on the screen

Hi,
The community of users of the Flash Platform is thankful.
Congratulations for the initiative.

Great idea, Aral, especially for those of us off the beaten track (Hong Kong) who have to shell out big bucks to travel to conferences. I wish you great success with Singularity - and thanks for organising it!
Aral, looking forward to this conference. But can you please add a Web 1.0 feature to your site? An “email me when details are finalized” option? Thanks!
It’s a great idea indeed.
Fight it on!
Cheers
hongjun
Great idea Aral! I’ve already moved my holiday plans to attend…….
Cheers
