Call for sponsors

We’ve just issued the call for sponsors for the Singularity web conference.

There are three Platinum Sponsor slots (two remaining), and five regular Sponsor slots.

As with everything else, we’re doing sponsorships a little differently at Singularity, starting with limiting our sponsorship positions so that all our sponsors get lots of exposure and also by limiting the various sponsorship tiers so that the sponsorship program doesn’t read like a study of precious metals and gems (we do have Platinum sponsors but not an unwieldy hierarchy of Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.)

Also, individuals and small companies who want to sponsor Singularity can do so by becoming a micro-sponsor. Opportunities to micro-sponsor Singularity will open alongside ticket sales this month.

For-profit companies that want to organize local conference hubs can apply to become Venue Sponsors (non-profit organizations and community/user groups can local community conference hubs at no cost. We will be releasing more details on this this month.)

Finally, if you are a media institution and you want to support Singularity by giving us exposure, we’ll reciprocate by making you a Media Sponsor, having your badge on the site, and giving you two free tickets to attend the conference.

Singularity on Upcoming

I just set up an event on Upcoming for Singularity. You can express your interest in the conference by watching it or marking yourself as attending.

I also created a Singularity group on Upcoming that we will be using to list local venues, meetups, and events. If you are part of a user group or community group and want to host a local event (or if you’re at a company that might be a potential venue sponsor), get in touch with me at aral {at} aralbalkan(.)com.

Last week in Geneva, while attending the wonderfully inspiring LIFT conference, I was interviewed about Singularity by Zian Marro from télévision suisse for their online news service, Nouvo.

Nouvo has a special section dedicated to videos from LIFT, where you can watch speaker’s sessions as well as other interviews.
